4 Turmeric Tea Benefits That Will Change Your Life

Turmeric Tea Benefits

This magical yellow root has been the main ingredient in Indian cuisine for thousands of years. Turmeric Tea benefits include anti-inflammatory & pain reducing effects, cancer treatment, skin health, ant-aging properties and blood sugar control. Curcumin, the active compound in Turmeric, is responsible for the many healing and disease reversing properties of this Eastern superfood.

Turmeric originates from the Curcuma Longa plant, that natively grows in India. The dried root is ground up into the popular yellow powder. What's the best characteristic of Turmeric? There are no negative effects on the body, you can consume as much as you like. It's no coincidence that Turmeric is one of the most researched herbs in our generation.

1. Powerful Anti-Inflammatory and Pain Reducing Effects

Research has shown Turmeric Tea to be one of the most effective herbal Arthritis treatments. Fundamentally, Arthritis is inflammation between the joints or bones. This inflammation leads to swelling, loss of motility and pain. The powerful curcuminoids in Turmeric help to dissolve the inflammation, thus reducing swelling and pain altogether. In addition, Turmeric helps to promote a healthy immune system, attacking the disease at its core.

2. Helps to treat and prevent cancer

As of late, hundreds of peer reviewed studies have been published about Turmeric's ability to help the body naturally fight cancer. It has proven to be most effective in treating breast, colon and skin cancer. Even if one does not have cancer, Turmeric's amazing anti-oxidant properties boost the body's immunity and prevent it from ever growing.

3. Rejuvenate Skin, Fight Acne and Heal Wounds

The Anti-inflammatory benefits of Turmeric Tea go further than just helping Arthritis, it treats a variety of skin conditions including acne, eczema and skin rash. In addition, it helps to alleviate symptoms related to allergies. Turmeric also speeds up wound healing and leaves the skin with a natural glow.

4. Maintain Healthy Blood Sugar levels

Recent studies have shown Curcumin, the active ingredient in Turmeric to be as effective as the most prescribed medication to lower blood sugar and control diabetes. This essential ingredient helps to regulate glucose levels and activates the enzyme AMPK (activated protein kinase). Activating the AMPK reduces the body's overall insulin resistance, allowing it to more effectively break down sugars and carbs on its own.

How to use Turmeric Tea

- Mix one to two teaspoons with a cup of hot water and let seep for 2 minutes. Add ginger, cinnamon or honey to flavor.

- Another easy way to maximize the benefits of turmeric is to blend it in with your favorite smoothie. Below is my favorite Turmeric recipe:

Mango Turmeric Smoothie Recipe:
